STARS EU Talks
This talk addresses the under-researched topic of how individuals develop their entrepreneurial mindset (EMS). Existing theories highlight the differences between novice and expert entrepreneurs, but the mechanisms behind the development of these mindsets remain largely unknown. By examining Entrepreneurial Educational Programs (EEPs) and employed scaffolding techniques, we explore the effectiveness of teaching strategies in fostering entrepreneurial mindset, investigating teacher behaviour, student perceptions, and the impact on entrepreneurial mindset development, the study presented contributes to understanding how individuals cultivate the abilities and willingness to identify and navigate uncertainty and seize opportunities.
About the speaker: Jeroen Loef is a strategic expert in entrepreneurship education at the Hanze and has dedicated his working life to creating and better understanding the conditions for learning environments for entrepreneurs. He started as a director for an incubator, has been senior lecturer in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and is now finishing his PhD on the development of entrepreneurial mindset archetypes.
About STARS Talks: This format of knowledge exchange and interaction is organised by our Challenge Lab. Its monthly webinars will discuss different initiatives based on science, knowledge and innovation that can be useful or inspiring for the development of our regions. Each webinar will include a short dissertation on the chosen topic by the guest speaker, and afterwards the session will be open for dialogue and interaction.
