The School of Architecture at Bremen University of Applied Sciences and the BDA im Lande Bremen cordially invite you to the POSITIONEN 2023/24 guest lecture series. We are looking forward to exciting lectures by internationally recognized and award-winning architects who will give us insights into their work.
We are very pleased that on Tuesday January 30th, Will Burges from the internationally recognized architectural office 31/44 Architects will lecture at the School of Architecture in Bremen.
Will Burges studied architecture at the University of Brighton and became a RIBA Chartered Architect in 2001. 31/44 makes architecture that sits comfortably in the fabric of the city by connecting to the historic, cultural, spatial and material qualities of a place. New buildings are introduced to their setting with care and consideration, making a positive contribution to the environment.
31/44’s buildings have been widely published nationally and internationally. Their projects have been exhibited in London, Dublin, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Vienna and Oslo. The architectural office has been also recognised with a number of awards including: The Manser Medal, RIBA National and Regional Awards, and a nomination for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Award.
