DTX research talks
With their novel economic climate impact model, right. analyses the extent of global warming an entity will cause by 2050.
right. based on science is a climate metrics and software provider founded in 2016 in Frankfurt am Main. With their novel economic climate impact model, right. analyses the extent of global warming an entity will cause by 2050. The model can be applied to, e.g., companies, investment portfolios, even countries. right.'s model determines the climate impact in degrees Celsius (rather than, e.g., tonnes of CO2), thereby increasing the tangibility and transparency of climate-related risks and opportunities.
In 2019, right. based on science launched an academic community called right. open. Through right. open, students work on transdisciplinary R&D projects to co-develop science-based responses to climate change applicable across industries and disciplines. Since its launch, right. open has mobilised 21 research collaborations involving 31 students, 17 university partners and 4 organisations from the real and financial economy.
The brown bag series is organized by the DTX research cluster. The talks last 30 minutes, followed by discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. DTX research talks is a public event; the ZOOM access data can be passed on to interested parties (e.g. students). You will receive the password at armin.varmaz@hs-bremen.de
