Around 16 per cent of students in Germany state that they have an impairment that makes studying difficult. That would be around 1400 students at Bremen University of Applied Sciences. For more than 95 per cent of these students, the impairment is not perceptible to others.

There are therefore students who have a long-term health impairment or who fall ill in the short term. In some situations, this can lead to disadvantages compared to other students if the impairment has a temporary or permanent effect on your studies.
