The Future of Higher Education: New Challenges & New Opportunities

The Faculty of Education and Lifelong Learning in SETU Waterford, in conjunction with out project partner the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) in Bragança Portugal is delighted to announce the Final IGNITION Community of Practice online event taking place on January 29^th 2025 14:00 – 15:30 GMT / 15:00 - 16:30 CET. 

The theme of theme of this event is: The Future of Higher Education: New Challenges & New Opportunities. There will be 3 topics covered by the Keynote speakers with dialogue discussion by the rest of the keynote panel and a Q&A session at the end. The three topics are as follows

1. Communities of Practice, Speakers: Fernando Pereira & Vítor Goncalves

2. Microcredentials, Speaker: Florbela Fernandes

3. Mobility Opportunities, Speaker: Sylwia Melo

The event is part of the IGNITION Erasmus+ funded project, which aims to enhance digital literacy and inclusion among lecturers, faculty staff, students, and life-long learners across Europe.  Project partners include Hanze University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands); Hochschule Bremen (Germany); Polytechnic Institute of Braganza (IPB)(Portugal); and the SETU Faculty of Education and Lifelong Learning.
