Time is flying by! The first 50 days of the semester are almost finished and the Study Advisory Team would love to check in with first semester students to see how they’re doing.
Visit the 50-Tage-Check event on December 14 to meet new students and exchange tips! If there are still open questions at the end, the Study Advisory Team will also be there to help. All first semester students are invited to participate! Check out the German version of this website for more information. (This event is offered in German.)
First-semester international students can also set up an individual appointment with Rebekah Cramer (advisor for international students) to reflect together on the first few weeks at the HSB.
The first semester of university can bring some special challenges for international students with it. Not only do you have to worry about the everday challenges of student life, you also need to take care of all sorts of paperwork for your start in Germany -- and all of this often in a second language and new culture! It can be helpful to take some time for yourself to think back on all of the changes you’ve gone through since starting your studies. Doing this with an advisor can also give you an outside perspective and help you with making a plan for (continued) success at the HSB.
All of the informaiton for scheduling a personal check-in appointment can be found here. Appointments can take place in English or German, whichever is easier for you!
