The Federal Association of the German Brick and Tile Industry has awarded the German Brick and Tile Prize for the fifth time under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Construction and Home Affairs (BMI). At the beginning of February 2021, two main prizes, five special prizes and ten recognitions for outstanding architecture in brick construction were awarded at an online award ceremony.
The accompanying exhibition for the German Brick Award 2021, which is touring colleges and universities throughout Germany, shows a large selection of almost 150 projects submitted, including the award-winning buildings, which demonstrate the spectrum of contemporary brick architecture. It will be on display from 16 to 26 November 2021 at the School of Architecture of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences in the AB Gallery (high-rise building) at Neustadtswall 30, 28199 Bremen, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
