The EU-funded STARS EU university alliance has launched a series of online seminars. Here, experts from various fields who are part of the network will present innovative projects and ideas.
Sustainable Industry includes production, new materials and development in collaboration with other institutes and science, as well as resource-efficient processes and product development and service-related industries such as digitalisation, energy supply and circular economy models. Mikael Ericsson is head of the Industrial Automation department at the Swedish University West and conducts research in the field of production technology. His research interests focus on robotic welding and robotic welding simulation. He also teaches robotics to engineering students.
The seminar series "STARS EU Talks" is organised via Zoom and is aimed at students, teachers, researchers and the interested public. The seminars are held in English. The format is simple: the presentations will be short (between 15 and 45 minutes) and there will be time for discussion and questions from the audience. It is planned to organise one of these STARS EU Talks regular – a total of ten per year.
Participation is free of charge and prior registration is not required. Please feel free to attend.
For some years now, Hochschule Bremen (HSB) has been working together with eight other international universities to shape a joint European university: STARS EU – short for Strategic Alliance for Regional Transition European University.
The concept of strategic networking and systematically interlinked cooperation formats in teaching, research, and science transfer is already having a tangible impact, contributing to the sustainable transformation of the respective regions and thus of Europe as a whole. The EU is funding STARS EU.
