Are you interested in programming, artificial intelligence, robotics, or virtual realities? You want to know more about how machines, automobiles, aircraft, or ships are designed and manufactured? Then study mechanical engineering with a focus on digitalisation!
The aim of the engineering degree programme in Mechanical Engineering with Focus on Digitalisation B. Eng. is to provide a broad range of qualifications that matches both the current and projected requirements of the industry.
The degree programme offers you a solid and versatile education in contemporary and emerging areas of mechanical engineering. It has a dual focus, concentrating on the planning and the complete manufacturing process of industrial products as well as the tools and methods of digitalisation.
The degree programme qualifies you to work as a mechanical engineer in the areas of manufacturing technology, production, planning and development, such as:
The degree programme is planned and realised as a seven-semester programme with five modules per semester. Exceptions are the 5th semester with the practical semester and the 7th semester with the Bachelor's thesis.
The programme is divided into four study phases that build on each other.
Students have the opportunity to go abroad within the framework of a mobility window in the theory semester (4th or 6th semester) or the practical phase. Students are supported and advised by the Decentralised International Office "DIO", in collaboration with the head of the degree programme and the chair of the examination board.
