Erasmus+ for traineeship abroad

You must fulfil the following conditions in order to receive an Erasmus+ scholarship for a traineeship:

• Full-time students at the Hochschule Bremen
• Traineeship abroad with a public or private institution in an Erasmus+ programme country
• Traineeships at EU institutions e.g. EU Parliament, EU Commission cannot be funded from Erasmus. A list of excluded institutions can be found here.
• Minimum duration of the internship abroad is two months (60 days).
• Funding availability
• Funding is independent of nationality and age. Payment by the hosting institution is not a reason for exclusion.

In principle, you have to organise a traineeship abroad yourself. Your faculty and the Career Service can help you with this. You can also find tips for finding an traineeship on our overview page on the topic of traineeships abroad and via the International Office team and/or the Departmental International Office of your faculty.

Good to know: During your traineeship, you are obliged to take out adequate insurance cover yourself (health, liability and accident insurance). The Erasmus+ programme does not provide insurance cover. You have the option of taking out the DAAD's group insurance at your own expense.

After you have found an traineeship, fill out the Learning Agreement for Traineeships.

The application is made via the Erasmus+ online portal of the HSB. Please fill out the application carefully and completely and upload your Learning Agreement. You can find the Learning Agreement for Traineeships form and other documents in the "Forms and Downloads" section. Please note: As a matter of principle, we will only correspond with you via your Hochschule Bremen email address (@stud.hs-bremen.de). Please check these e-mails regularly and make sure that your mailbox is not full. Once you have sent your application, your data can no longer be changed. The International Office will not process your application until all documents are complete.

If your application is successful, the HSB International Office will send you the Grant Agreement to your HSB email address.

Once you have submitted all the documents in full, you will receive 80% of your Erasmus grant.

You submit the following documents to us via an upload link, which we will send to your HSB email address after your stay abroad:

• Letter of Confirmation: Certificate of a study period abroad.
• EU-Survey (The link to this will be automatically sent to your HSB e-mail address after your stay abroad).

Please submit the following documents to your DIO:

• Learning Agreement
• Transcripts
• If applicable, an internal questionnaire
• If applicable, a copy of the Letter of Confirmation
• Additional forms for your respective degree programme, if applicable.

Please submit all documents within 30 days after the end of your stay abroad.

You will receive the remaining amount of approximately 20 percent of the mobility grant after you have submitted the Letter of Confirmation and the EU Survey.
