The degree programme offers you a future-oriented and versatile education in a specialised field of mechanical engineering.
You will learn about the design, development and construction of aircraft as well as spacecraft. With a view to future careers, you also study aspects of business management.
Application period for the start of the summer semester 2025: 15 December '24 - 15 January '25
The comprehensive degree programme qualifies graduates to work as engineers in the areas of design, production, planning, research and development in the following:
In the first phase of studies (1st year), you will learn the scientific and technical fundamentals of mechanical engineering.
In the second phase (2nd and 3rd year), you take the specialisation modules on aerospace engineering along with further modules that consolidate your knowledge of general engineering. In this part of your studies, you will work on student projects and deepen your fundamental knowledge in technical applications. This period also includes your practical semester, which is supervised by university professors and carried out as a work placement in industry.
In the third phase (7th semester), you complete three more specialisation modules and work on your Bachelor's thesis.
Semesters abroad are recommended but not compulsory.
